REACH in reality
– How will consumers, industry, NGOs, authorities and researchers accommodate their activities to the new reality under REACH?
After years of debate the REACH legislation comes into force in June 2007. It will replace over 40 national chemical legislations with one harmonized policy. REACH is short for Registration, Evaluation and Authorisation of Chemicals. The policy requires industry to register all existing and new substances with a new European Chemicals Agency.
CASCADE Network of Excellence invites all interested parties to an open session about the new REACH legislation. The session will serve as a platform for open discussions on the implications of the policy from different stakeholder perspectives. Short presentations will be followed by a moderated panel debate.
