Everyone wants to know what their food contains. So does CASCADE. Therefore, we are dedicated to identify and study chemicals in our food.

Results of CASCADE - Today and Tomorrow

CASCADE Partner meeting in Brussels 2-3 December

Tomorrow it is time for ninth CASCADE Parnter meeting. The objective of this meeting is to summarize all the results from five year of CASCADE. Furthermore, as important, we will discuss future tasks for CASCADE research, risk assessment and education. 

 

Since the start in 2004, CASCADE has made significantcontributions to European endocrine disruptor research and education. CASCADEhas also successfully disseminated these results to both stakeholders andconsumers.

Success for CASCADE communication course

The course “Communicating research to the public and to media” was a complete success. In the course evaluation, the 20 international participants gave the course 4,8 out of 5; one of the absolutely best grade any CASCADE course ever has achieved. Organising this course was one of many ways for CASCADE to reach out with our excellence. Read more...

CASCADE participated in the WHO International public healthsymposium on environment and health research “Science for policy,policy for science: bridging the gap” in Madrid, Spain 20-22 October.Mr José Manuel Silva Rodriquez, Director general, DG Research openedthe meeting and CASCADE presented a poster of the results of ourresearch. CASCADE Open Forum 2008 on Endocrine Disruption

"Endocrine disruption - Present health threats and future research needs"


 
CASCADE Open Forum 2008 attracted persons involved in the field of endocrine disrupters research, risk assessment and policy making. In front: Prof Jan-Åke Gustafsson, Dr Maria Bondesson, Dr Andrea Tilche and Prof Emilio Benfenati.
 
Over 100 representatives from eight different research projects, industry, NGOs and the European Commission met the 2nd of October in Brussels and decided to take a joint action to tackle the health threats of endocrine disrupters. 


The meeting generated in video interviews (CASCADE at YouTube ), discussions, pictures, presentations, and soon to be, a strategic agenda on endocrine disrupter research. Read more...

Chemicals may  increase breast cancer risk
